Group Class Information

The FALL 2011 Group Class Schedule is now available in PDF format, valid as of September 3.
Where
Group Classes are held at Memorial University of Newfoundland's School of Music. (Building 24 on St. John's Campus Map) The map of the building is on the walls in several places in the halls.
When
Group class dates for 2011/2012:
- September 17th*
- October 1st, 15th, 22nd
- November 5th, 19th, 26th
- January 14th*, 21st
- February 4th, 11th
- March 3rd, 17th, 31st
- April 21st
- May 5th, 26th
- June 2nd
* Switch dates. "Switch date" denotes when your child may move up to the next group class. Approval from your child's studio teacher is required.
Special Events 2011/2012
All locations TBA (as of Sept. 3)
- Sunday October 30: Graduation Concert
- Rehearsal between 9am and 1pm on the day before (Saturday). Concert commences at 1:30, please arrive at 1:00 for tuning and be available until the end of the concert at approx. 3pm
- December 10: Group class Christmas Play-In and Pot Luck
- Please arrive at 9:30 for 10:00 concert. Concert usually runs at least 1 hour, please be available until noon (don't forget your treats afterwards!)
- June 9: Group class Final Concert Play-In
- Please arrive at 9:30 for 10:00 concert. Concert usually runs at least 1 hour, please be available until noon
Solo concerts
Four per year. Location TBA.
Dates:
- November 13
- January 29
- March 11
- May 13
Rehearsals are held between 9 and 12 on the day before (Saturday); all concerts commence at 1:30; please arrive at 1:00 for tuning and be available until the end of the concert at approx. 3pm. Families of performers, please bring treats to share.
