STEP Into Dalcroze Eurythmics with David Buley

The sessions will explore relationships among time, space, and energy through integrating movement, aural skills, and improvisation as a means for deepening musicianship skills such as accent, phrasing, senses of rhythm and harmony, expressive performance, and heightened listening. We’ll play together, laugh together and experience music in and through movement.

David Buley is an Associate Professor of Music Education in the Faculty of Education at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. David enjoys his lengthy career of teaching classroom and private lessons in music, conducting choirs, accompanying ballet companies, and playing various instruments. David’s background in Dalcroze includes a Professional Certificate Award in Dalcroze Eurhythmics through Dalcroze UK (a member of DEIEB, and he is nearing the completion of his License Training.
